Photography allows me to create a world that is entirely of my own design; everything behaves as I want it to. Gravity pulls in the direction of my choosing, light acts with precision, and time operates according to my instruction. It allows me to create a scene that is entirely impossible in the real world, but has an uncanny familiarity to it. The installations I create take things a step further. They not only give a similarly uncanny place for my photographs to live, but they allow me to take the viewer inside of this impossible world. A place that is both dangerous and wonderful.
